We are excited to introduce our first 2020-2021 Teamsters Local 987 Member Scholarship Recipient, Emmanuel Snogba!
Emmanuel has been an active member of Teamsters 987 since 2005 and is currently studying Finance at Athabasca University. Emmanuel currently studies online as a part-time student to be able to continue work full-time to support his family.
Along with his commitment to both his work and education, he is also a devoted member of his local Liberian community having served as both the Financial Secretary and Planning Committee Chairman. During this time, he has been committed to dedicating his financial skills to the development and advancement of his community and has played an instrumental role in receiving city and provincial grants that are used to help support the Liberian community. The Local 987 Scholarship will help Emmanuel to complete his degree and begin a long-term career in finance.
We are looking forward to witnessing all the incredible achievements in Emmanuel’s future and are honored to be able to award him with the Teamsters 987 Local Union of Alberta Member Scholarship.
This scholarship was launched in 2020 as a local initiative to help provide financial aid to Teamsters 987 of Alberta Union members. It was created to help support 987 union members further their education, career opportunities, and personal and professional growth. We are proud that this scholarship will help to build leaders who play an active role in society.
