We would like to congratulate Stephen A as a recipient of the Teamsters 987 Member Scholarship! Stephen currently works at Purolator, is a Teamsters 987 Member, and is currently working towards his Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology at Mount Royal University.
Stephen has been an active member of his community volunteering his time to help those in need and served a full-time mission in his church. In the future, Stephen is determined to continue serving his church and community by helping youth find a safe and accepting place.
This scholarship will provide Stephen with the opportunity to finish his degree and achieve his goal of attending Law School to study employment law. Through his Teamsters Member experience and education, Stephen is hopeful he can give back to his community and improve the lives of hard-working employees.
We look forward to seeing everything that Stephen accomplishes throughout his time at Mount Royal University and his future Law School journey. Congratulations Stephen!
This scholarship was launched in 2020 as a local initiative to help provide financial aid to Teamsters 987 of Alberta Union Members. In 2021, the scholarship expanded to include Members immediate dependent children. The scholarship helps support 987 union Members and immediate children dependents to further their education, career opportunities, and personal and professional growth. We are proud that this scholarship will help to build leaders who play an active role in society.
