We are pleased to announce Seth F as a recipient of our Teamsters 987 Member Scholarship. Seth is an immediate child dependant of a Local 987 Coca-Cola Member and is currently studying at Mount Royal University. He is working towards completing a Bachelor of Business Management and Marketing with a specialization in Athletic Literacy.
Seth grew up playing football and his love for sports can still be seen as a member of the Calgary Colts. This scholarship will also allow Seth the opportunity to pursue both his education and football career. The marriage of Seth’s passion for sports and education with business and marketing, he hopes to one day operate an athletic gym facility that trains youth and promotes the benefits of an active lifestyle.

This scholarship was launched in 2020 as a local initiative to help provide financial aid to Teamsters 987 of Alberta Union Members. In 2021, the scholarship expanded to include Members immediate dependent children. The scholarship helps support 987 union Members and immediate children dependents to further their education, career opportunities, and personal and professional growth. We are proud that this scholarship will help to build leaders who play an active role in society.
