That said, our workers believe that losing their jobs and hours to outsourced third-party workers is something worth fighting against. Our workers believe so strongly in this issue that they overwhelmingly voted 94% in favour of strike action. They are willing to put everything on the line because they are standing up for what they believe is fair.
We are prepared. We are a membership of skilled, capable and loyal workers who are eager to work with you. Our workers are simply asking for the opportunity to do so with some level of security versus sitting at home while third-party workers are paid to do their job.
We are committed. We want everyone to be successful. We are 100% committed to returning to the bargaining table to discuss the matter of job security for our valued members, and to respectfully resolve this issue with you as soon as possible.
