Congratulations to Tajinder A for being a recipient of the Teamsters 987 Member Scholarship! Tajinder is an immediate child dependant of an active 987 Purolator Member and is currently pursuing her Bachelor of Education, with a concentration in Chemistry at the University of Calgary.
Tajinder has been an active member of her community, contributing over 170 volunteer hours to helping youth in after-school programs at the Calgary Public Library. While studying full-time at the University of Calgary, Tajinder has been a member of the SU-Registered Book Club and continues to volunteer with multiple organizations to help strengthen her community.
This scholarship allows Tajinder the opportunity to gain her Bachelor of Education and continue dedicating time to her community. Pursuing her life-long goal of becoming a teacher, Tajinder is looking forward to fostering strong relationships with her future students by gaining valuable skills through volunteer work.

This scholarship was launched in 2020 as a local initiative to help provide financial aid to Teamsters 987 of Alberta Union Members. In 2021, the scholarship expanded to include Members immediate dependent children. The scholarship helps support 987 union Members and immediate children dependents to further their education, career opportunities, and personal and professional growth. We are proud that this scholarship will help to build leaders who play an active role in society.
